Dental Care

Taking care of your child’s teeth begins even before they have their first tooth. Wipe their gums with a wash cloth every night to get them used to it. Then use a baby tooth brush or silicone brush when you want to switch.

Try to avoid nighttime formula feeds if your child has teeth.

Use a floss pick if the teeth are touching.

Have the goal to wean off a bottle by the time your child is 12 months old. That means to try using sippy cups or straw cups by 9-10 months old.

Make teeth brushing a fun daily ritual!

Make an appointment to see a pediatric dentist by 12 months old.
